Petronas extends Malaysia race sponsorship

It has been confirmed by sporting commercial rights holder Formula One Management (FOM) that oil and gas company Petronas has renewed its sponsorship of the Malaysian Grand Prix, which it has held since the race made its debut on the calendar in 1999.

The outing marked further preparations for the returning Italian tyre company, which claims it is ahead of schedule prior to a further test in Spain in a fortnight’s time.
