Sebastian Vettel has apologised after side-swiping Jenson Button’s McLaren out of action in the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday. With the pair having been running in second and third positions, the German lost control of his Red Bull under braking for the Bus Stop Chicane on Lap 17 of 44.

There was a localised shower during this morning's GP3 race but even before the action ended the rain was gone; however, although opinions vary in the paddock, the radar currently indicates that no rain should arrive until after the race.

Vettel loses time due to Stavelot mistake

The Stavelot corner caught out most of the field on at least one occasion in Belgium on Saturday, not least Sebastian Vettel who ran wide on his final qualifying run in Q3. However, the German was saved by the late-session rainfall which prevented most drivers from improving their lap times.
