Four drivers reprimanded for qualifying in-laps

Following qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix on Saturday, four drivers have been officially reprimanded by Formula 1 governing body the FIA for driving too slowly at the end of the Q1 and Q3 phases.

Mixed feelings at Williams after qualifying

Alguersuari 17th on second Hungaroring appearance

It was in Budapest last year that Jaime Alguersuari made his Formula 1 debut with Toro Rosso, replacing the ousted Sébastien Bourdais and qualifying 22nd after turning an F1 car around a corner for the first time. However, the Spaniard will start 17th for the 2010 race.

Sutil pleased but Liuzzi lamenting mistake

For the second successive weekend, Force India has come across a number of frustrations in Hungary although Adrian Sutil is generally pleased with his grid position of thirteenth. However, team-mate Vitantonio Liuzzi is out-qualified and will start Sunday’s Grand Prix in only sixteenth position.

Kobayashi ‘very disappointed’ with qualifying result

A delighted Pedro de la Rosa demonstrated that Sauber - at its 300th Grand Prix this weekend - can once again qualify in the top ten at the Hungaroring although team-mate Kamui Kobayashi was far less pleased on Saturday, having been eliminated at the earliest possible point.

Schumacher car set up more for race

Michael Schumacher has enjoyed historic moments in Hungary, such as picking up his fourth world title in the country nine years ago, although the 7-time World Champion was unable to rise from fourteenth on the grid on Saturday. However, the configuration of his car may explain why he starts eight places behind his team-mate.

Horner responds to Whitmarsh comments

Martin Whitmarsh has dubbed McLaren as the ‘quickest fixed-wing vehicles’ in the aftermath of qualifying in Hungary, referring to his opinion that Red Bull and Ferrari are running front wings which flex are therefore illegal.
