First F1 car around Korea will be a Red Bull

Red Bull Racing’s Running Showcar will complete a lap of the all-new Korean Grand Prix Circuit on September 4 at the ‘Circuit Run 2010’ event. 3,000 people are expected to see an F1 car run on the Korean International Circuit in Yeongam, South Jeolla, for the first time. There will also be demonstration laps by other cars, including a Formula BMW.

Renault F1 Team partners with EFG International

The Renault F1 Team today announced a partnership with EFG International, a global private banking group, for the remaining races of the 2010 season. The logo of EFG Bank (a private banking subsidiary of EFG International) will appear on the sidepods of the Renault F1 R30, starting at this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.

Domenicali congratulates Barrichello on 300th GP

Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix will be a special occasion for a couple of former Scuderia Ferrari drivers: for Michael Schumacher this weekend will mark the nineteenth anniversary of his Formula 1 debut in the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix. It will also be a landmark race for Rubens Barrichello who celebrates his 300th GP.

New FOTA chairmen?

Reports from Italy's 'Autosprint' magazine say that there will be a change of the guard within the Formula One Teams Association soon. With Williams' Adam Parr supposedly taking over for McLaren's Martin Whitmarsh as chairman, and Toro Rosso's Franz Tost replacing Ferrari's Stefano Domenicali in the vice chairman role.

Spa circuit modifed to reduce corner cutting

Circuit organisers have implemented some changes at Spa-Francorchamps, in light of the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix this weekend. Just like at many other circuits, grass and gravel again had to make way for tarmac.

Les Combes-chicane at Francorchamps modified

In a bid to deter drivers from cutting the corners, the "Les Combes"-chicane at the historic Spa-Francorchamps circuit has been modified. The large section of grass behind the corner sequence has been relaid with asphalt and bumps have been put down to slow drivers down if they run off track.

Webber explains Spa in race simulator
