Epsilon Euskadi backed by Spanish Automobile Federation
Thu, 05/20/2010 - 19:22The Spanish Automobile Federation (SAF) have announced their support for Epsilon Euskadi's bid to enter the 2011 F1 season as the 13th team. "They have more than enough to be in Formula 1 on merit and we're going to push for it," Carlos Gracia, SAF President, said to fellow Spaniards at the 'Marca' newspaper.

Renault willing to increase engine supply
Thu, 05/20/2010 - 18:47The Renault F1 team is willing and prepared to supply engines to another team for the 2011 season according to Remi Taffin who is the chief of engine operations at their Viry-Châtillon facility. "We certainly have got the capacity to supply more than the two teams we have been doing this year, it's not a big problem for us," was Taffins response to a question from 'autosport'.

Even more united after a bittersweet weekend - Alonso

After finishing both free practice sessions on top of the time sheets on Thursday, the Spaniard crashed during Saturday's practice session and was forced to watch qualifying from the side-line. Despite starting the race from the pitlane, Alonso finished at a strong 6th place.

Mercedes GP decides not to submit an appeal
Wed, 05/19/2010 - 02:24After a controversial end to the Monaco GP, the Mercedes GP team have decided against submitting an appeal in the case of Michael Schumachers 20 second penalty for overtaking Fernando Alonso after the safety car exited from the track a few hundred meters from the checkered flag. Schumacher won 5th place only for the penalty to set him back to 12th and out of the points.

Webber fined €2200
