Renault upbeat seeing improved pace at Spa

Renault F1 is happy to see its car performing better now that it has an F-duct as well. Robert Kubica finished a good 3rd place after fighting Red Bull and Ferrari on raw pace. Vitaly Petrov also finished in the points after starting from the back of the field.

Massa happy while Alonso crashes out at Spa

Ferrari came away from the Belgian Grand Prix with just a fourth place, thanks to a strong performance from Felipe Massa in a race that was incident filled and run in changeable weather. After thirteen races, the positions in the two classifications remain the same, but the gaps to the leaders in both the Drivers’ and the Constructors’ are now more significant.

Disappointing race day for HRT

After an eventful and thrilling race, Hispania Racing left Spa-Francorchamps disappointed. Bruno Senna had to retire after getting off to a good start due to a suspension failure on the rear left of his car. His teammate Sakon Yamamoto was able to cross the finish line for the second time in a row this season and ended up in 20th position.

Williams endure difficult race at Spa

Another 4 points in the bag for Sauber

Despite Kamui Kobayashi being 17th and Pedro de la Rosa 24th on the grid, the team managed to score four points in what was a very eventful Belgian Grand Prix in Spa with ever changing weather conditions. Kobayashi finished eighth, De la Rosa 12th.

Lotus enjoy eventful Belgian GP

The Belgian Grand Prix at Spa produced an incident packed race that saw Lotus Racing again finish ahead of their nearest rivals. Heikki Kovalainen recovered from a slow start to finish 16th, and Jarno Trulli crossed the line in 19th, a spin late on dropping him back a few places after he had put in a very strong performance in the constantly changing weather conditions.

Disappointing Belgian qualifying for Sauber

In the qualifying weather lottery for the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps neither driver got any further than Q1. Kamui Kobayashi qualified 19th after he had gone into a gravel trap while on slicks. Pedro de la Rosa, also on dry tyres, ended up 22nd after crashing into a barrier.

Mercedes hopes for rain at Spa

A weather-affected qualifying hour at Spa-Francorchamps today saw MERCEDES GP PETRONAS drivers Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg qualify in 11th and 12th places respectively for tomorrow's Belgian Grand Prix. A ten place grid penalty for Michael and a five place penalty for Nico following a gearbox change will be applied to their qualifying positions.
