FIA releases provisional 2011 calendar

The World Motor Sport Council has today released the provisional race calendar for the 2011 Formula One Championship season. The calendar is enlarged to 20 races and is the longest in the sport's history. The season is planned to begin on 13 March and will end on the 27 November.

The World Motor Sport Council has confirmed that it is to submit a proposal to the General Assembly so that a 'specific licence is created for a restricted list of members of staff of the competitors' entered in the FIA Formula One World Championship.
